A quick and easy dessert board featuring a mix of cookie crumbles, fresh fruit, dips, and toppings, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Chocolate chip cookies, roughly crushed (e.g., Nestlé Toll House)
  • Oatmeal raisin cookies, crumbled
  • Shortbread cookies, broken into bite-sized pieces
  • Snickerdoodle cookies, crumbled
  • Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • Raspberries
  • Kiwi slices (optional)
  • Chocolate ganache or chocolate sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • Whipped cream or mascarpone cheese
  • Peanut butter or almond butter (natural, no sugar added)
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Chopped nuts like pecans or almonds (optional)
  • Sprinkles or edible glitter
  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Rinse fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and kiwi. Slice strawberries and kiwi into bite-sized pieces. Pat fruits dry gently with a paper towel.
  2. Place different types of cookies into separate bowls. Use hands or a rolling pin to roughly crumble them into bite-sized pieces, avoiding turning them into dust.
  3. Pour chocolate ganache or sauce into one ramekin. Whip cream or mascarpone lightly until fluffy, then transfer to another ramekin. Spoon peanut or almond butter into a small bowl. Optionally sprinkle chopped nuts over the nut butter.
  4. Arrange the board by placing ramekins with dips spaced evenly. Scatter cookie crumbles in clusters around the dips, mixing cookie types for color and texture contrast. Add fresh fruit in groups, balancing color and shape without overcrowding.
  5. Sprinkle mini marshmallows, chopped nuts, and edible sprinkles over cookie crumbles and dips. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

Do not pulverize cookies into powder; keep a mix of crumbs and chunks for texture. Use firm, ripe fruit and pat dry to avoid sogginess. Keep dips and fruit chilled until serving. Assemble board just before serving for best freshness. Leftovers should be stored separately and can be refreshed by warming cookie crumbles in a 300°F oven for 5 minutes.
