These Quick Spider Web Sriracha Deviled Eggs are creepy, cute, and have a spicy kick. Perfect for Halloween, game day, or a fun weeknight appetizer, they come together in under 20 minutes with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons sriracha sauce, plus extra for the spider web design
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika, for garnish
  • Fresh chives or green onion, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Hard-boil the eggs: Place 6 large eggs in a single layer in a medium saucepan. Cover with cold water by about an inch. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once boiling, turn off the heat, cover the pot, and let sit for exactly 10 minutes. Prepare a bowl of ice water.
  2. Shock the eggs: After 10 minutes, transfer the eggs to the ice water bath using a slotted spoon. Let sit for at least 5 minutes to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
  3. Peel the eggs: Gently crack the shells all over, then peel under running cold water. Pat the peeled eggs dry with a paper towel.
  4. Slice the eggs: Using a sharp knife, slice each egg in half lengthwise. Wipe the knife clean between cuts. Gently pop out the yolks into a medium mixing bowl. Arrange the egg white halves on a serving platter.
  5. Make the filling: Add 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon yellow mustard, 1 to 2 teaspoons sriracha (to taste), ¼ teaspoon salt, and ⅛ teaspoon black pepper to the bowl with the yolks. Mash together with a fork until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  6. Fill the eggs: Spoon the filling into a squeeze bottle or piping bag (or a ziplock bag with a small corner snipped off). Pipe the filling into each egg white half, dividing evenly, creating a slight mound.
  7. Create the spider web: In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon sriracha with ½ teaspoon water to thin it. Transfer to a clean squeeze bottle or bag. Starting from the center of each filled egg, pipe a small circle of thinned sriracha, then pipe a few concentric circles around it. Using a toothpick, drag from the center outward through all the circles to create the web effect. Repeat for each egg, wiping the toothpick clean between eggs.
  8. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle a tiny pinch of paprika over each egg. If using, scatter chopped chives or green onion on top. Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

For easier peeling, use eggs that are at least a week old. Thin the sriracha with water for the web design to ensure smooth lines. The spider web design looks best when served fresh, but the filling can be made a day ahead. For a milder version, reduce sriracha in the filling to ½ teaspoon and use only a tiny amount for the web. For extra spice, double the sriracha in the filling and add a pinch of cayenne.
