This Cozy Friendsgiving Charcuterie Board is a love letter to a tiny wine bar’s fall board, designed for a casual gathering where everyone can graze and catch up. It’s impressive without being pretentious, letting the season’s best flavors do the heavy lifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz aged cheddar
  • 8 oz brie wheel
  • 4 oz goat cheese log
  • 6 oz manchego
  • 6 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 6 oz sopressata, sliced
  • 4 oz capicola
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 oz quince paste
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 cup marinated artichokes
  • 1/2 cup dried figs, halved or quartered
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots
  • 1 cup red grapes, small clusters
  • 3/4 cup honey-roasted pecans
  • 1/2 cup Marcona almonds
  • 1 large sourdough baguette, sliced and toasted
  • 1 box water crackers
  • 1 box fig and olive crackers
  • 3–4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • A few sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • Edible flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take cheeses out of refrigerator 45 minutes before assembling.
  2. Position small bowls of fig jam, honey, quince paste, and olives on the board, spacing them out.
  3. Place brie wheel whole on the board. Slice aged cheddar into thin triangles and fan them out. Cut manchego into small wedges. Place goat cheese log whole or in thick rounds. Spread cheeses around the board.
  4. Fold prosciutto slices loosely into ribbons and place in small piles. Fan out sopressata slices in a line. Roll capicola slices into small cylinders. Group meats near different cheeses.
  5. Tuck small clusters of grapes in empty spaces. Scatter dried figs and apricots around. Sprinkle pomegranate seeds across the board.
  6. Pour honey-roasted pecans into small gaps. Scatter Marcona almonds near the manchego.
  7. Fan toasted baguette slices along one edge of the board. Stack water crackers and fig crackers in separate piles.
  8. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs between items. Scatter thyme leaves lightly over cheeses. If using, place edible flowers sparingly. Drizzle a little honey over the brie wheel.
  9. Step back and fill any obvious empty spots with extra grapes or crackers.

Notes

Warm fig jam in microwave for 10 seconds before serving. Let cheese sit at room temperature for 45 minutes. Keep extra crackers and grapes handy to refresh the board. Leave about 20% of board surface visible to avoid overcrowding.
