A creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip topped with a fun sour cream spider web design that kids adore. Perfect for game day, Halloween parties, or a quick family snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (10-ounce) cans chunk chicken breast, drained and flaked
  • 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot Original)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (e.g., Hidden Valley)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus more for topping
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or crusty bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Soften cream cheese if needed.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine drained chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing. Mix with a hand mixer on low until smooth.
  3. Fold in 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese with a rubber spatula.
  4. Transfer mixture to an oven-safe baking dish (8×8 or 9×9 inch) and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until hot and bubbly around edges. Optionally broil 1-2 minutes for color.
  6. While dip bakes, mix sour cream and milk in a small bowl until slightly thinned but pipeable.
  7. Let dip cool 2-3 minutes. Spoon sour cream mixture into a Ziploc bag, snip a tiny corner, and pipe concentric circles on top.
  8. Use a toothpick to drag lines from center outward and back to create a spider web pattern.
  9. Optionally sprinkle extra cheddar around edges. Serve warm with dippers.

Notes

Let dip cool slightly before piping sour cream to prevent melting. For milder version, mix buffalo sauce with ketchup. Can be assembled a day ahead and baked with extra time.
