This easy spider web chocolate bark with pretzels is a quick, no-bake Halloween treat that combines rich dark chocolate, creamy white chocolate, and salty, crunchy pretzels. It comes together in under 20 minutes and looks impressively spooky with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate (60% cacao recommended)
  • 1 cup salted pretzels, roughly crushed
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional, for thinning white chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries or chopped dried cherries (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional, for garnish)
  • Mini candy eyeballs (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, smoothing out any wrinkles.
  2. Crush the pretzels into a mix of fine crumbs and pea-sized chunks. Set aside.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth (about 1.5 to 2 minutes total).
  4. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and spread into an even rectangle about 1/4 inch thick (roughly 9×12 inches).
  5. Sprinkle the crushed pretzels evenly over the wet dark chocolate and gently press them in so they stick.
  6. In a separate bowl, melt the white chocolate with the coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth (about 1 minute total).
  7. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate in a spiral pattern starting from the center. Use a toothpick or knife to drag lines from the center outward to create a spider web effect.
  8. If using, add optional decorations like candy eyeballs or flaky sea salt while the chocolate is still wet.
  9. Refrigerate the baking sheet for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm.
  10. Lift the parchment paper, peel the bark away, and break it into irregular pieces with your hands. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

White chocolate burns easily, so microwave in short intervals and stir frequently. If white chocolate is too thick, add more coconut oil. Work quickly when drizzling white chocolate as the dark chocolate will start to set. For best texture, crush pretzels unevenly. The bark can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or frozen for up to three months.
