Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Blueberries, washed and dried
  • Bananas, sliced into thick rounds
  • Wooden skewers, about 6 inches long
  • Plain Greek yogurt, 1 cup
  • Honey, 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh lemon juice, 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract, ½ teaspoon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Rinse the strawberries and blueberries under cold water, then pat dry gently with a clean towel. Hull the strawberries by slicing off the green tops and cut them in half lengthwise. Peel the bananas and slice into thick, even rounds about ½ inch thick.
  2. Make the Honey Yogurt Dip: In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt with 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract if using. Whisk until smooth and creamy, tasting to adjust sweetness if desired. Set aside or refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Assemble the Skewers: Take a wooden skewer and start threading fruit in a pattern that highlights the red, white, and blue theme: a strawberry half, followed by a banana slice, then a few blueberries. Repeat this pattern to fill each skewer, leaving about 1 inch at the bottom for holding.
  4. Arrange and Serve: Lay the skewers neatly on a serving platter and place the honey yogurt dip in a small bowl alongside for dipping. If prepping ahead, cover the platter with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving.

Notes
