A refreshing and colorful summer treat featuring a thick watermelon slice topped with creamy Greek yogurt and a variety of fresh fruit toppings. Perfect for hot days, casual gatherings, or a light snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large seedless watermelon slice, about 1 inch thick
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh fruit toppings: sliced strawberries, blueberries, peeled and sliced kiwi, mango cubes, blackberries
  • Mint leaves for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • Optional: toasted coconut flakes or chopped nuts (pistachios or almonds)

Instructions

  1. Cut the watermelon into a round slice about 1 inch thick, removing any seeds. Keep the slice even for stability.
  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together 1 cup Greek yogurt with 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup until smooth and slightly sweetened.
  3. Spread the creamy yogurt evenly over the watermelon slice, leaving a small border around the edge, about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Arrange fresh fruit toppings artfully on top of the yogurt, starting with larger pieces like kiwi and mango, then filling gaps with smaller berries. Add mint leaves for garnish.
  5. Sprinkle lime zest over the top and optionally add toasted coconut flakes or chopped nuts for crunch. Serve immediately or chill for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use a thick, firm watermelon slice to prevent sogginess. Serve immediately or chill briefly for best texture. For dairy-free, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut or almond milk yogurt and use maple syrup instead of honey. Prepare toppings and yogurt separately if making ahead to avoid sogginess.
