This Kid-Friendly Overnight Peanut Butter Protein Oats recipe is the kind of thing you make on a Sunday night and thank yourself for all week. It’s creamy, naturally sweet, and packed with enough protein to keep little bellies full until lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (any kind)
  • 1/2 cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup (64g) creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) chia seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • For topping (optional): banana slices, mini chocolate chips, extra drizzle of peanut butter

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  2. Stir in rolled oats and chia seeds until evenly combined.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly into four 8-ounce jars, leaving about 1/2 inch of space at the top.
  4. Seal the jars tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  5. Before serving, stir the oats and add desired toppings such as banana slices, mini chocolate chips, or an extra drizzle of peanut butter.
  6. Serve cold or at room temperature. If desired, microwave the jar (without metal lid) for 30-45 seconds for warm oats.

Notes

For best texture, use old-fashioned rolled oats, not instant. Stir peanut butter well before measuring. These keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. For a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter. For gluten-free, use certified gluten-free oats.
