These Parmesan crusted pork chops are quick, easy, and incredibly delicious. With a crispy, cheesy crust and tender, juicy meat, they’re perfect for weeknight dinners or impressing guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked preferred)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
  • For the dipping sauce (optional): 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, pinch of garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up breading station: In first shallow bowl, mix flour with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon paprika. In second bowl, beat eggs with 1 tablespoon water. In third bowl, combine panko, Parmesan, remaining garlic powder, and remaining paprika.
  3. Dredge each pork chop in flour mixture, shaking off excess. Dip in egg mixture, letting excess drip off. Press into panko-Parmesan mixture until fully coated. Place on plate in single layer.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until butter is bubbling but not browning.
  5. Place coated pork chops in hot skillet (do not overcrowd). Cook 4-5 minutes per side until deep golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  6. Transfer cooked chops to cutting board or plate and let rest for at least 5 minutes.
  7. While chops rest, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and garlic powder for dipping sauce.
  8. Arrange pork chops on platter, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve with dipping sauce.

Notes

Don’t skip resting time. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness. Grate your own Parmesan for best results. Can bread chops up to 4 hours ahead.
