A quick and easy party drink made with white wine, apple cider, caramel syrup, and cinnamon. Ready in under an hour, this crowd-pleasing sangria is perfect for last-minute gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
  • 1 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 1/2 cup caramel syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple brandy or Calvados (optional)
  • 1 large apple (Honeycrisp or Fuji), thinly sliced
  • 2–3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions

  1. Wash the apple, cut in half, remove the core, and slice into thin half-moons or small cubes. Do not peel.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, apple cider, caramel syrup, and apple brandy (if using). Stir until the caramel syrup is fully dissolved.
  3. Add the sliced apple and cinnamon sticks to the pitcher. Stir gently to distribute.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill. For faster chilling, add a handful of ice cubes directly to the pitcher.
  5. When ready to serve, fill wine glasses or tumblers with fresh ice.
  6. Stir the sangria gently, then pour over the ice. Ensure each glass gets some apple slices and a cinnamon stick for garnish.

Notes

For a less sweet sangria, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. The sangria is best within 4-6 hours of making. For a warm version, gently heat the sangria (without ice) in a pot over low heat for 5-7 minutes.
