  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 black olives, sliced
  • Tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Let cream cheese soften on counter for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, buffalo wing sauce, and shredded cheddar. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Stir in shredded chicken by hand until evenly distributed.
  3. Transfer mixture to a 9-inch pie dish and spread evenly with a spatula.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes, until edges bubble and center is hot.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes. Spoon sour cream into a piping bag or zip-top bag with corner snipped. Pipe a small circle in center, then concentric circles around it, spacing 1 inch apart. Drag a toothpick from center outward through all circles to create web pattern. Repeat around entire dip.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over top for cobweb effect. Place olive slices in pairs to look like spiders.
  7. Serve immediately with chips, celery sticks, and crackers.

Notes

For best results, let cream cheese soften properly. Don’t overbake to avoid separation. The dip can be assembled a day ahead and refrigerated; add sour cream web after baking. For a milder version, reduce buffalo sauce to 1/4 cup and add extra ranch dressing.
